The AGU Fellows program honors members who have made exceptional contributions to science. Fellows make up only 1\/10th of 1% of the current year active AGU membership, and are considered the foremost experts in their field.  Scott was elected for advancing understanding of changes in the global terrestrial biosphere using remote sensing observations.
