Encouragingly, recent research led by Jedediah Brodie at the University of Montana, and contributed to by GEODE members <strong>Scott Goetz<\/strong>, <strong>Patrick Burns<\/strong>, <strong>Patrick Jantz<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Hakkenberg<\/strong> and <strong>Zaneta Kaszta<\/strong> suggests protected areas are associated with higher vertebrate biodiversity.
